Poon Dojo School of Martial Arts Excellence (PDSMAE) is a Classical Martial Arts School based within the heart of East London, Stratford (Host city for the London 2012 Olympic Games). Established in the mid nineties to preserve and continue the tradition of the Art of Karate Do in Stratford.

Poon Dojo was formed to provide high quality teaching by professionals to all students irrespective of gender, race, creed etc. in a safe and welcoming environment. A non profit organisation which is student centred therefore accommodating the needs of the individual. We believe in working in partnership with parents therefore place great emphasis in reinforcing family values. As a Classical School we hold high the traditions of Karate Do which includes: respect, self discipline, etiquette etc.

All teachers of Poon Dojo are fully qualified and are CRB checked, Poon Dojo is authorised and commissioned to provide a recognised 'coaching programme' to all PDSMAE Teachers. All Teachers receive CPD on a regular basis to ensure that standards are maintained. The make up of teachers and students reflect the multi diverse and International community that Poon Dojo is part of.

Poon Dojo actively works within the following boroughs: Newham, Thurrock and Redbridge. Promoting the Art of Karate Do to the next generation and guiding them, using Karate Do as a means to achieve the values and morals that are much needed in this day and age. 

Poon Dojo is actively engaged in research which ensures the most up to date and innovative practice yet upholding the tradition of the Martial Arts which can be traced back to the 18th century.
